Every week, in each #MotherAndLittleOneYoga session, I will be sharing a #SelfLoveTip! Something really easy and soothing, that you can do everyday just before you get up or before going to bed.
Today a back care exercise.
Many mums complain of back pain, and with all the breastfeeding, the rocking babies to sleep, the baby-carrying it is no surprise! So this is a great way to take care of your precious back.
1. Lie down on your back on a hard surface and bring your knees to your chest. Hug both your knees and feel how this helps your back to flatten against the floor. Bring your chin gently towards the chest (without lifting the head) as this will allow all your spine to straighten.
2. Put your hands one on each knee and gently push your knees away from your body at the same time using your legs to bring your knees closer to your chest, pushing the hands.
Hold the position for few seconds, relax, repeat.
You can repeat this simple exercise ten times, twice a day until the pain goes away.
